Join us for this stirring Qoya series happening over the first half of the year.  Each Qoya movement class can be experienced on its own or part of a larger journey.  Every class is 2.5-3 hrs and includes a unique ceremonial offering in resonance with our journey through the medicine wheel.  All classes begin at 6 pm and end between 8:30 pm and 9 pm.  A maximum of 12 participants can be supported per class.

The Burning World - Yoga Teacher Training & Spiritual Support for Activists

This weeklong offering is borne of the needs of this age; and the acute awareness in my heart that without the practices we will not make it through the long shadowy road that lies ahead. 

​

Our world is burning under the weight of collective shadow as it manifests through genocides, ecocide, ecological collapse and unfettered human ugliness.  We are being stretched to accept the unimaginable a thousand times a day.  

 

I have lived through my own share of unspeakable grief and nameless shock over this last year.  Again and again I have fallen to the ground in gratitude for knowing what to do when there is no floor to stand on. 

 

This week is Yoga as I am intimate with it and reverently seeks to honor the Yogic sharings of the late Shantimurti Saraswati, the Maya teachings of the late Don Elijio Panti,  beautiful Andean offerings as they have emerged through Rochelle Schieck via Qoya, and the songs of the lands of Taos, Dubayy and Aotearoa as they live in my blood.   The synergies of these medicines help me to swim when I am sinking, and fly when I am drowning. 

​

This offering is not accredited by any governing body and no prior Yogic experience is required. 

We will commune with movement as medicine, the breath, fire ceremonies, gentle cleansing practices, chanting, prayers,  the intelligence of the Element, gratitude ceremonies, Cacao, psychic sleep, dream work and more while following a Medicine Wheel blueprint.    In the end, our prayer is there may be a thousand soft places for each participant to land in the hardest times, and that that may be able to craft offerings to support others in a myriad of ways from what we will experience together.

This training will come with a manual and online video/written portal.
